Quiz: Do you have an eye for good website design?

  • Last Updated: November 16, 2024

  • Having an eye for good design, symmetry and spacing when creating your website is important to produce a professional website and visually appealing experience for your visitors.

Here is a short quiz to see if you can spot the better designs. The samples will get progressively harder. Click the "more correct" images to reveal the answers. Don't click the bad design.

How many did you get right?

We hope that you had fun testing your ability to spot the better design in this short quiz.

Regardless of how well you did in the quiz, creating good looking websites and having a knack for it comes down to observation of how well-made websites are designed, learning from them and getting enough practice.

In essence, there are two main aspects:

    1. Having an eye for good design; and

    2. Knowing how to execute the intended designs and placements.

Execution of the intended design involves actions such as adjusting padding within your website's contents and elements, knowing how to resize the elements on the page and optimising these designs across various devices from desktops to mobile.

This valuable skill of executing website design and turning your website ideas into reality is something that we cover in our flagship 5 Days' Build My Website Challenge, an online practical training course for anyone who wants to learn how to skilfully build and launch their company website, brand website or links website without wasting months and years trying to figure it all out on their own.

In Day 3 of the Challenge, we break down the core skills needed for resizing and adjusting the contents and spaces on your websites. At the end of Day 3, you would have built and optimised your basic Links Website and also your Company Website. Read more about the Challenge here.
